Petals Puzzle

Petals is a 2D puzzle game where interlocking floral rings share petals at their geometric intersections. When you sway a flower around its center, its ring rotates, transferring shared petals into neighboring stems.

As the game progresses, you end up in states seemingly impossible to solve, where you try to fix something, but mess something else. As you play, you will discover clever move sequences to swap specific petals without disturbing the rest.

Most people reaction is "It's like a Rubik's cube, but with flowers". And they're not wrong. Tangled rotations, where order matters, are at the core of this game design. While you do not need any math background to enjoy swaying the garden,this game is inspired by Abstract Algebra and Permutation Group Theory, the branch of mathematics that explores symmetry and crystal lattices.

Two Ways to Play

1. Match Mode (Default): Guide every petal back to its matching central color.
2. Sudoku Mode: No single flower is allowed to contain duplicate colors. More complex visually, but worth exploring if you enjoy sudokus.

After finishing the puzzle, you can watch a beautiful recap of the game, which you can download for bragging rights, or pass it to a friend, to see who completes it in less time and moves.

Free vs Paid:

The free demo version contains only the first level, with 3 hexagonal flowers, so you can figure out if this game is for you.

The paid version includes 14 levels with up to 13 flowers, the last ones taking around 20 minutes to solve. This game will make you and your friends squeeze your brain for a whole summer vacation.
